We needed a reset but...
Hear me out. Society has been dysfunctional for a long time. We've drifted away from our villages, we've become self centered, self absorbed, not stopping to think about the ramifications of our actions on our planet. On our very lives and livelihoods. Wars and Politics among other things, serve to divide us, keep us fighting amongst each other instead of working together to solve the problems that endanger us all. Eventually our actions (or inactions) will catch up with us... or maybe eventually is now. When Covid 19 first showed up and shut everything down, we were shown the power of Mother Nature to heal herself with us pesky humans out of the way and not continuing to contribute to the pollution and greenhouse gasses that cause climate change.
