On one hand there is a lot of fear, anxiety, sadness, dis-ease, etc.
On the other, there is this sense that everything is going to be all right, 
that everything is working out in Divine Timing, and that the future looks amazing!

I remember when I was a child, listening to the songs of my parents generation, the hippies...
"This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius" 
"Imagine all the people, living life in Peace"
"Listen to the sounds of silence"
and many other songs with themes of love and peace and joy and common humanity,

as I got older tuning in to movements that were dismantling the status quo, the system that had been in place for centuries, a system of war and greed and oppression,

All the while, I, and my generation, were experience major societal traumas without a solid support system to help us cope, we learned to be resilient, independent, hopeful, visionary.

Now is our time. The old is collapsing. It's been happening for a while, but now we are finally at that precipice where we rise up and loudly proclaim

THIS IS WHAT I'VE BEEN TRAINING FOR MY ENTIRE LIFE!!!

Welcome to the new age! 
We are finally here!

If your world seems dark and dreary, it is. If things appear ugly and hate filled, they are. If you find people annoying, bitter, jaded, etc. they are. Or are they? Or is it? Out of the ashes

I had a thought the other night as I was sitting outside in my back yard, starting at the flames in our fire pit, that we are currently watching the old world/paradigm burn. When we all come out on the other side of this Covid-19 pandemic, and begin to rebuild our world, what systems are no longer serving us that we don't need to fight to keep them going? What kind of world do we want to create out of the ashes of the old? I believe if we are having to fight to try to keep something going, like our economy, then that is a clear sign that we need to find a different way of doing things.  We have been watching the old ways of being crumble away for quite some time. The systems are broken and there has been a lot of hurt inflicted on our planet. Just. Breathe.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, many times over… the only thing I can say that I know for certain, is that I don’t know anything. Sooooooooo that being said, I have to rely on my inner guidance, inner compass, to steer me in the right direction. I’m sure I will make missteps and fall down a few times (or more) but I have to just keep putting one foot in front of the other and keep propelling myself forward. One of the most challenging lessons for me has been to stay in the present moment, to not get caught up in the worry about what might happen, or to keep revisiting the old stories of how I got here. A simple reminder to stay with my breath, in the moment, is never as simple as it seems, or is it? We all tend to overthink to the point of paralyzing inaction, and forget that we are the ones writing our stories and that if we don’t like the way things are going, that we can change direction at any time.
